Delivra, one of the originial email service providers, unveiled its Text-to-Subscribe feature, allowing marketers to quickly grow their email lists and giving subscribers a new and convenient way to sign up for emails.
The feature enables subscribers to join an email list by texting a keyword to a short code. Subscribers then receive a text message asking for their email address, along with a confirmation email, making the sign-up a double opt-in process.
"We are excited to use Delivra's new Text-to-Subscribe functionality. We see this as a tremendous resource to help anyone grow their list quickly, efficiently, and the right way," said Kristen Bassick, Piece of Cake Social Media. "Delivra's responsiveness and ability to get my client up and running quickly have been excellent."
"Text-to-Subscribe takes the ability to subscribe out anywhere," said Neil Berman, president and CEO of Delivra. "Subscribers are able to act on their interest when they are eager to get information, such as at an event, trade show or convention. Email marketers benefit by having the email automatically added to their list without the additional work of entering email addresses into the system."
Delivra is working with Connective Mobile to provide the service. Connective Mobile, based in Indianapolis, is a leading provider of mobile marketing, SMS marketing, text message marketing and voice marketing technologies. The company works with 99 percent of mobile providers, including all Tier 1 and Tier 2 providers.
"Delivra is the first email service provider offering our Text-to-Subscribe function to their clients," said Adam Small, president of Connective Mobile. "Until now we have worked with companies and brands directly, and have seen thousands of email addresses added to lists in a matter of hours. This is a very powerful feature."
