I was invited to a friends for thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. There were a cross section of people from different walks of life at the table. The conversation was varied but I was struck by the diners respective gaps in knowledge.
The host told of his love for pizza, but had never heard to the leading local gourmet pizza chain. Another guest told of a recent vacation to a well-known national landmark - the person on my right had never heard of it. I was asked about Delivra's business. Not only had no one heard it, but no one in the room (except for the friend who invited me) even knew our kind of business existed.
My eureka moment was realizing that advertising and marketing is a never ending task. Keep telling your tale over and over and over.
