Neil, Enjoy 2 Audiobooks for Under $5 Each. That's the subject line of today's email from Audible.com. I get approximately two per week from this marketer. Don't usually open them, but this offer was compelling and I had to read more. Now beyond the offer, here are a few ways they captured my attention...
Audible.com got the seasonality right. "Save some green while you listen" is a reference to St. Pat's day along with an obligatory leprechaun hat. Offer is restated in large font. "Start Today" button is the call to action. That's it. Simple. Direct. Effective. So just to recap, here are the items that made this email effective:
1. Seasonal Attention Grabbing Design
2. Clean and Simple
3. Offer Restated in Large Font with a Strong Call to Action
So did I make a purchase? Not yet, but I will certainly be watching my inbox for more of their emails. Remember these tips the next time you create an email campaign-clean, clear and concise will win your audience over every time!
