Recently, I attended the Spring into Ownership conference, put on by one of our clients, Little Pink Book. Delivra presented inforamtion on the latest email marketing trends and had a booth where people could learn more about our organization, our software and the services we provide.
Delivra chose to highlight our Text to Subscribe feature during this event. A placard at our booth invited people to sign up to receive our emails via text. During our presentation, the attendees were encouraged to sign up as well with the incentive of receiving an email marketing whitepaper and a $50 gift card. All they had to do was:

A short time following their email addresses via text submission, they received a welcome message. See an example of the email below:

The goal was to email them soon enough after signing up, so that Delivra and our presentation was still fresh in their minds. It was also important to give them the incentive we had promised them as well as remind them to stop by the booth and see us. We chose to add a picture of those manning the booth so that the faces would be familiar to the attendees.
Text to Subscribe is a great tool to use at conferences and events to encourage the on-the-go audience to sign up for your emails and potentially drive traffic to your booth and presentation.
